I can only say the same as many others have said. A lovely man, calm, kind, humorous, didn't take life seriously and was good company. He obviously loved his family deeply and it was apparent that his world revolved around them. A few weeks ago I texted him. I told him that I wouldn't expect a reply. Typically he did, thanking me and saying that he was blessed to be surrounded by those who loved him. We were only in one case together, he prosecuted, I defended. He won but was so scrupulously fair and charming that even the defendant told me he liked him! He'll be sorely missed.
