I remember being a spotty teenager doing work experience with Bob. He was so laid back, warm, patient and funny. He made his high-pressure job seem easy and idyllic. The trial cracked, and fifteen years later I have a strong mental image of him racing off to the nearest water source, with fishing rod (and waders?) in the boot.
