was formed in Maidstone. he was the guitar player in Stealer- named after the song by Free. we had Steve Smile on bass and "freaky" Barry on drums. we rehearsed in Barry's hairdressing shop after school and at weekends . I was our appalling singer..all the moves and swagger but no talent.

 Bob was one of my really great friends at Maidstone Grammar. He was a dude, could play guitar and rugby, wasn't afraid of anyone, quiet yet confident. We went to visit him a few times in Brighton, saw the Golinski Bros- who were so much better than Stealer, bought  the Voltage album...(at least I think it was called that?)

I lost touch with him.. but will always remember those days when we thought of nothing but music. sounds like we both continued our love for it.
