I only did one trial with Bob, but luckily it was a long one. We were both led and had lots of free time which Bob filled with tales from a life well lived. Despite the glamour of his early musical triumphs, his main tales were drawn from the joy filled minutiae of family life. I didn’t know him well but I liked him enormously.
